Ducky Baby Shower

Ducky Baby Shower
My friend Kristy is having a precious baby boy so we had a duck theme baby shower for her. It turned out really great. She is a simple kind of gal so we tried to do everything simple, cheap and cute. We did blues, yellows, and whites with duckies all around.
My friend Megan shaped the cheese ball into a duck it was so cute.

I found this cute punch from tidy mom blog.

The cute cupcakes were done by my friend Amy from Amy’s Sweet Treats. She did a great job. She did blue and white frosted white cake mini cupcakes with little candy ducks on the top and the white ones had white sparkly white sugar sprinkles. They were so goooood.. The cupcake stand was a cake stand turned upside down.

Everything turned out great. See you can do a cute shower very inexpensive. For food we did fruit and veggie trays, cheese ball with crackers, mini cupcakes and punch and the little ducky candy on the side in place of the traditional mints. We did it at our church so we borrowed the yellow and white tablecloths and floral centerpiece from there. The glass bowl duck centerpieces were really cheap to make. I got the glass bowls and foam balls from dollar tree and all the duckies were from the dollar store you got 1 big one and 3 little ones in a pack. The ribbon was from a curling ribbon bow we took apart and put all around the tables.
The Cone trees were easy to make also. They are made from shredded paper from the dollar tree and foam cones from Wal-Mart and wooden skewers and the blue pots with foam blocks inside are from dollar tree also. So really inexpensive piece to put all of the cute centerpieces together.  Just use what you have is what I say. Don’t be afraid to raid your mother or mother-in-law supplies also. You never know what you will find that you can use.

Now Kristy did rack up on the gifts. I created a diaper cake for the centerpiece of the gift table. I used one pack of diapers and did 3 levels. We used the yellow shredded paper from the dollar tree and I used blue crepe streamer paper to wrap around the diapers for ribbon effect since I forgot my ribbon at home and couldn’t go get it so I had to use what we had at church. And I used the rest of the ducks we had. I bought 3 packs of the 4 pack duck sets from dollar store and it was enough. And last but not least I had her notebook for everyone to write advice in it and we used it to write down all her gifts too. So what I did for it was bought a cheap small flip top notepad from dollar store I think they were like 3 for a $1.00 and I covered it with cute paper and put some cute baby stickers on the bottom and then cut cute matching ribbon and knobbed them on the spiral wire at the top.  Simple cute and cheap. Love those kinds of combos. If you can see the diaper bag below you will see it is filled up with all kinds of goodies. Kristy’s mom did all of them. She is so talented I can’t remember everything that was in it but she made almost everything in the bag. It was soooo cute… I think I was tired of writing down onesis on her gift list. I think the baby could wear an onesis every day for 5 months she got so many of them..

  2. Everything in the treat is so well managed. And I know it's a boy. Expensive parties sometimes make us doubtful whether to go for them or not. But I am sure about budgeted services at Los Angeles venues provided with lovely facilities. Food and décor is managed very well by the staff. Also they are quite attentive towards the needs of guests.
